The electronics field includes many possible careers, but the highest paying ones require higher education. Three of the highest paying career options in the Electronics field are Electronics Repairers, Electrical and Electronics Drafters and Electronics Engineers.
 
Research Lab Assistant, Systems Specialist, Computer Lab Technician and Industrial Controls Systems Technician are just a few possible jobs in Electronics, according to Mid-State Technical College. Electronics jobs like Plant Maintenance Supervisor, Control Systems Design Engineer and Control Systems Supervisor require associate degrees or certifications and usually yield higher pay. Three of the highest paying gigs a person interested in the electronics field could pursue are Electronics Repairers, Electrical and Electronics Drafters and Electronics Engineers.


Electronics Repairers
Electronics Repairers troubleshoot or maintain electronic equipment. This kind of work involves outfitting factory or lab system systems with updated automated control mechanisms. Trains, golf carts, sonar, and surveillance systems can all be operated on by Electronic Repairers and installers. According to the Bureau of Labour Statistics, Electronic Repairers make a mean annual salary of $46,490.

Electrical and Electronics Drafters
Electronics Drafters are responsible for developing the plans for circuit boards, wiring and installations. They mostly work in power plants and factories. Electronics Drafters earn an annual mean salary of $53,650.

Electronics Engineers
Electronics Engineers earn one of the highest annual mean salaries at $77,820. Their work covers the spectrum, but is mostly done in the early stages of development. Their duties can include research and testing of all kinds of equipment for fields such as acoustics and rocket propulsion, and for the military.
